Alcohol Banned at USC Football Games
Alcohol will not be sold during University of Southern California football games at the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Los Angeles Times reported Sept. 14.
The move comes after USC President Steven Sample called for the ban, citing alcohol-related behavior problems during football games. However, vendor Aramark will be allowed to sell beer outside the stadium, in a facility that will accommodate about 1,000 patrons.
The school reportedly compensated the stadium authority for lost alcohol-sales revenues, but details were not disclosed.
A number of other Pacific 10 Conference schools have also banned alcohol sales inside their stadiums.
